2024-25 Floyd County Chamber Membership Benefits
Membership Lunch Meetings
Six free lunches (two per membership) are included with membership. Lunches include presentations on topics and resources of interest to the business community as well as the opportunity to network with fellow chamber member representatives. Members can sponsor a lunch meeting with the chamber making meal arrangements.
Business After Hours
The chamber will arrange for six Business After Hours Socials each year. The socials will include light appetizers and a cash bar. Members with an appropriate venue can host a social to showcase their business or organization. These socials provide an opportunity to develop relationships with fellow chamber member representatives.
“Member of the Floyd County Chamber of Commerce” Sticker
This sticker with the current membership year displayed is a sign of professional distinction to display at a chamber member’s business location(s). The chamber is often asked to verify a membership status for potential customers who favor Chamber members. Customers are more likely to buy from businesses that are members of a chamber according to a study done by the Schapiro Group based in Atlanta.
Ribbon Cuttings for Members
The Chamber facilitates ribbon cuttings to promote new businesses, expansions, new locations, and new services for businesses within the county. These events typically appear in the Floyd Press.
The Floyd Visitor Center – Promotional Support
The Floyd County Chamber operates the Floyd Visitor Center in the heart of the town of Floyd and typically serves over 3000 visitors and residents per year. All chamber members receive highlighted placements in the Visitor Center for brochures, rack cards, business cards, etc.
Social Media – Promotional Support
The Chamber’s Facebook page helps promote member events, promotional and special achievements. All chamber member pages are monitored, and new posts shared daily. Occasionally, Cooperative Advertising is available to members to help maximize their advertising efforts.
Web Site for Visitors and Residents
The site provides a Member Directory that showcases Member businesses by category and alpha order. The directory provides direct links to member websites.
Members-Only Annual Dinner and Silent Auction
Each Fall, the Chamber holds its Annual Dinner and Silent Auction which is its most popular, best attended local business event of the year. The Silent Auction helps raise funds for a Community Enhancement
Scholarship Program to assist graduating Floyd County high school seniors.
Annual Recognition Awards
Each year at the Annual Dinner and Silent Auction, awards will be given to outstanding chamber members and supporters. Categories of distinction include Business of the Year, Business Leader of the Year, and Nonprofit of the Year, among others.
Member Communication
The Chamber e-newsletter and e-blasts provide information on resources and events that benefit members, and keep members up to date with Chamber meetings and projects.
Certificate of Origin
A Certificate of Origin is a document which certifies the origin of goods being exported and can be issued by a Chamber of Commerce. It is required by customs in the buyer’s country to determine tariff rates and prove the origin of the goods. The Floyd County Chamber of Commerce can provide these to any business as needed and chamber members pay a reduced fee.
Referral Services
Members can get referrals and resource information for their business to learn certain aspects of business operations, address challenges they are facing, implement best practices, and expand operations.
Member to Member Discounts
We encourage our members to offer discounts for their fellow chamber members. Currently Citizen’s is offering a 10% discount on their Creative Connections service, which handles your social media management and other aspects of online media.

From the board’s executive committee:
We look forward to growing our FCCOC to be the best it’s ever been. We’ve hired a new Executive Director to help us meet this goal. The increase in membership dues will help us accomplish that goal and to better serve our community and membership. Networking opportunities are one of the key benefits to being a FCCOC member, but we don’t want membership benefits to stop there. We constantly work with the Town and County to improve the business environment in Floyd. Please join us to help make Floyd County the best business community it can be.
