Melissa Branks, our incoming Interim Executive Director, has already started orientation and training this month. Upon John McEnhill’s retirement at the end of this month, Melissa will assume responsibility for day-to-day management of the chamber and co-manage the Floyd Visitor Center with Floyd County Tourism Director, Kathleen Legg.
“After living at various overseas postings for over 15 years, my family began looking for a home where we could establish roots. The unique convergence of art, music, agriculture, and the close sense of community made the town of Floyd an easy choice.
For the past 4 years I have been the Floyd Farmers Market manager and have enjoyed working with and advocating for our farmers, food producers, and artisans to give Floyd residents and visitors a feel for what our rich agricultural community has to offer.
As the Interim Executive Director of the Chamber, I am looking forward to shifting my focus to support the broader local and regional business community.”
